Sturgis is just not everyone’s thing. Daytona Bike Week? Many of you can take it or leave it. The truth is, most of us feel no compelling reason to go to rallies. I am sure they are great parties but again, it’s just not everyone’s scene.
But we do have one annual event, one big ride, one incredible gathering of our extended family and that is the annual Ride 2 Remember. There can simply be no more compelling a reason for a Jewish Motorcycle organization to gather and ride, to contribute and to sacrifice, than to honor the memory of those that perished in the camps. What can possibly be more compelling than taking REAL action, DOING something to not only pay tribute to those gone, but to work together towards educating our youth, assuring that we never forget, and that genocide not be ignored.
Of course, none of these issues are to be taken lightly, but it would be unfair, and less than honest if I did not share with you the other reason that EVERYONE that has been involved in an R2R is so profoundly affected by the event and so determined to go again – and again – and again.

Yes – while there are times of incredible emotion, moments of remembrance, mourning, and respect, there are also those times enjoyed and shared by an amazing family – love, friendship, and hey – we are a motorcycle club so I will just say it (well… almost say it) it’s just an eF’en great time!! I guess the point is that while I have seen tears in the eyes of my friends, my brothers and sisters, at each and every R2R, I have also seen pure joy, incredible happiness – knowing with all of your heart, at that precise moment in time, you are exactly where you are supposed to be, doing exactly what you are supposed to be doing, and having a great time with the people you are meant to be with.
I hope, with all my heart, that you make it to the right place at that right time, and that I see you all in Savannah.
Best to All and Ride Safe,
